In February 1970, Eric Clapton toured the United States with Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett. In June, Clapton formed a new group, Derek And The Dominos, playing their first show on June 14 in London. In August, the group was playing UK clubs and halls, a highlight of the shows being Tell The Truth. In late August, the group was in Miami to record Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs before returning to Europe. The Dominos then played the United States in October and November.
