(This was a recorder Petty Recording Studios in Clovis, New Mexico had sold to Buddy Holly
when he split from them. The same recorder that Buddy recorded 'That'll Be The Day' at that
studio he now had in his apartment recording new material. A picture is included in the file.)

Buddy's final recordings taken from a session at his apartment in Greenwich,
The Breevoort, 8th Street, New York. Recorded on an Ampex reel-to-reel deck
from December 1958 to January 1959. Buddy died two weeks after the recordings.

This has amazing sound for the time period. The apartment recordings feel like you are sitting
with Buddy himself playing his guitar it sounds that good. This is where Rock & Roll began.
No wonder why The Beatles & The Rolling Stones listened to this music.
