This is perhaps the most unique VU boot. At the concert, the recorder decided to record the performance by plugging his tape recorder directly into Lou Reed's guitar amplifier. Because of this, vocals and bass are for the most part inaudible, except during the quiet parts of songs. Even then, the vocals are still pretty difficult to clearly make out, so we're left with an unintentional instrumental performance. Although this may disappoint some, it's what makes this recording unique, and offers some amazing renditions of "What Goes On," "White Light/White Heat," and especially "Sister Ray," just to name a few. This recording was meant to be played LOUD!! So crank up your speakers and let your ears "adjust" in the same way they did when you first listened to the 'White Light/White Heat' album. -BootlegZone.com
