This show is infamous as the only U2 concert to be missed by a member of the band. Adam Clayton was so severely hung over that he could not take the stage, and the show could not be postponed as it was a necessary rehearsal for the videotaping of the next night's concert (which, as well as being recorded for official video release, was also to be broadcast live). Adam's bass technician, Stuart Morgan, filled in on the bass, and Bono informed the crowd that Adam was "sick".

Comment(s):
A lot of these tracks are the same as the ones on the SALOME THE [AXTUNG BEIBI] OUTTAKES 3CD set. The live tracks are not the greatest sound quality, but are very interesting. (i.e., Larry on vocals, Axl Rose, etc.). This CD is also known as Disc 1 of the 3 CD set called ULTRA RARE TRAX. The set is actually numbered and only 1000 were made. This CD is sometimes sold in a 3CD set called SUPER RARE TRAX 1-2-3.
This is the original pressing on this label. -Original

Sound Quality:
(1-11, 13-18): Mostly excellent soundboard. A few are actually audience recordings, though.
(12): Good soundboard.
Comment(s):
An excellent CD, just for the rare live performances of "Hawkmoon 269", "Spanish Eyes", and "Mothers Of The Disappeared". "Womanfish" and "Sun City" also made the CD worth getting. Track 18 is taken right from the single, and is not a live performance. This CD is also known as Disc 2 of the 3 CD set called ULTRA RARE TRAX. This CD is sometimes sold in a 3CD set called SUPER RARE TRAX 1-2-3.
This is the original pressing on this label.

Sound Quality:
Varies considerably from very good soundboard to awful audience.
Comment(s):
A very interesting collection of live tracks, including a number of unreleased songs (Tracks 9-12, 16). Track 16 is introduced by Bono as listed, but the song is the same as "The Dream Is Over", (see CONTRACT DEMOS, BEFORE THE LEGEND STARTED, ZOOMERANG IN ADELAIDE, or SHADOWS AND TALL TREES) but with different lyrics. Track 8 is performed with Bob Dylan. This CD is also known as Disc 3 of the 3 CD set called ULTRA RARE TRAX. This CD is sometimes sold in a 3CD set called SUPER RARE TRAX 1-2-3. “Alive, She Cried” was the first official live release since 1970’s “Absolutely Live”. With the 1980 release of the Morrison bio “No One Here Gets Out Alive” along with a new “Greatest Hits”, the fans were hungry for new material. This was it. Although this is all live material, each song was heavily edited by Paul Rothchild, with new overdubs added to some of the songs. The source material comes from the Aquarius Theater, Felt Forum, Detroit and Boston shows. Fans would later get to hear the original source material when Bright Midnight Records (and later Bright Midnight Archives) released all of the original concerts unedited. They would also discover that although the version of “Little Red Rooster” on ‘Alive She Cried’ was credited to being from the Detroit show, it was actually from one of the New York Felt Forum shows.

One of the most important historical documents.
Perhaps one of the most important historical documents in the career of David Bowie. In 1969, Bowie and fellow Feathers colleague, John Hutch Hutchinson, recorded at least ten tracks, on a tape recorder, to send to various record labels. This demo tape eventually landed Bowie a deal with Mercury and launched his career. As one can imagine, a recording made 53 years ago is not of pristine quality, but this version offers a better listening experience than many of the other discs floating around with this material.
